LSIS Nexus Robotics Team Wins Platinum at Universal Robotics Challenge 2025

Osaka, Japan — The LSIS Nexus Robotics Team has made the Philippines proud by winning the Platinum Award (Champion) in the Senior Division, Idea Contest at the Universal Robotics Challenge 2025 World Finals.

Their winning concept, Project Hiraya (“vision and hope”), is an innovative robotic solution focused on Sustainable Cities and Communities (UN SDG 11), aimed at creating “A Better World for All.” The project embodies the team’s mission: to inspire positive change and show that hope rises even in challenging times.

Team members: Mira Preshuce Valentin, Tatianna Alysse Llanos Dee, Sean Joseph Liangco, Liam Jibriel Cubacub, and Mateo Sebastian Dulatre.
